Short Description: The HVAC/R Technician Specialist program offers an opportunity for students to learn the skills necessary to enter the field of heating, cooling and refrigeration while also exploring methods for communicating effectively with the customer and solving problems. As the industry moves forward into the future, the need for skilled technicians is growing. This program is made up of three areas:
HVAC/R Technician 1: Fundamentals & Refrigeration
Our HVAC/R Technician 1: Fundamentals & Refrigeration course has a clear-cut vision of necessary knowledge to gain employment in the HVAC/R industry. This HVAC/R Technician course provides comprehensive coverage of the fundamentals of the HVAC/R industry and refrigeration systems. Our HVAC/R Technician course delivers fundamental concepts, the most current trends, and practical applications with simple language and skillfully presented concepts. This course is everything a student needs to know to install, service, and maintain HVAC/R systems.
HVAC/R Technician 2: Air Conditioning & Heating Systems
Our HVAC/R Technician 2: Air Conditioning & Heating course has a clear-cut vision of necessary knowledge to gain employment in the HVAC/R industry. This HVAC/R Technician course provides comprehensive coverage of air conditioning and heating systems. Our HVAC/R Technician course delivers fundamental concepts, the most current trends, and practical applications with simple language and skillfully presented concepts. This course is everything a student needs to know to install, service, and maintain air conditioning and heating systems.
HVAC/R Technician 3: System Design, Installation, and Maintenance
Our HVAC/R Technician: System Design, Installation, and Maintenance course has a clear-cut vision of necessary knowledge to gain employment in the HVAC/R industry. This HVAC/R Technician course provides comprehensive coverage of HVACR system design, installation, and maintenance. Our HVAC/R Technician course delivers fundamental concepts, the most current trends, and practical applications with simple language and skillfully presented concepts. This course is everything a student needs to know to install, service, and maintain air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems.

Instructor Description: Though this program is a self-paced program it is supported by an educational mentor. Educational mentors are subject matter experts who have years of experience in their field as well as the necessary educational training and credentials to work as an expert. The mentor is available to answer any questions a learner may have including questions on course content, course material, certifications, and even industry questions. Mentors also monitor the progress of learners to ensure training retention and program advancement. In eLearning, motivation is a key tool to success. Because of this, the mentors provide encouraging comments, feedback, and coaching to motivate learners throughout the duration of the program to support completion and success!

Certification: Upon successful completion of HVAC/R 1, 2 & 3 courses, students will be prepared to sit for the North American Technician Excellence (NATE) national certification exam to become a Certified HVAC/R Technician. NATE also strongly suggests at least one year of experience.
NATE tests represent real working knowledge of HVACR systems and are designed to demonstrate competency in specific knowledge areas.

Ready-to-Work (online only, un-proctored, entry-level exam for those who are just entering the HVAC industry with no formal education or training)

PROFESSIONAL LEVEL CERTIFICATIONS (FOR THOSE WITH 2+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE)
You can earn installation, service or senior certification in one or more of the following specialty areas:

HVAC Efficiency Analyst (Senior Level) (EA)
